BIM & Digital AEC Courses

The Department has expanded its education curve to include Building Information Modelling which is the process of generating and managing information about a building, or infrastructure asset, during its entire life.

BIM is a suite of technologies and processes that integrate to form the ‘system’ at the heart of a component-based 3D representation of the infrastructure. BIM is, in essence, a system of information modelling and management which helps to enable smart asset design, construction and maintenance through the effective leveraging of digital technologies.

Major Awards (Level 8 and Level 9) programmes in the discipline of Building Information Modelling and Management are offered to graduates in architecture, architectural technology, or engineering disciplines. The BSc (Hons) and Postgraduate Diploma programmes are Springboard funded.
